Interview #1

The first interview I did, was with a professor named Joshua Hart from Union college. I learned a lot from this interview but it wasn’t as interactive as I wanted to be because it was over email. That being said it made me think about other factors that I haven’t considered before.

One factor that I haven’t really looked at much is things being hereditary. Genetics do play a big part in your life and who YOU are. I can’t change diseases and illnesses in my family that are hereditary. I can’t change the fact that I am predisposed to anxiety, depression, arthritis, and diabetes. All I can do is try to take care of my mental and physical health as much as possible.

Professor Hart also mentioned that as you get older you become more comfortable with yourself. I’ve heard this a lot from Mrs. Gergen and Mr. Bott (e=mc^2 advisers) that I will become more confident when I get older, but that’s not what I want to hear. I think when you aren’t as confident as some of your peers you feel like you should be as confident as them. However, self-love and confidence come with time. I have heard and read that you become happier when you are older. It’s just hard to wait.
